It may also require a physical file to be present in the registered directory ( example being c:\program files\FSX\FSX.exe is a physical file and its registered location would be the address. Note: ADE uses the registry to confirm FS9/FSX sims and SDK's are installed. You still need the compilers and associated files to compile and convert to bgl. I do not know if you can trick ADE for FS9 use, as I have not tried this and never saw a need to however I would assume it should work. However you wont be able to compile without the SDK, and a few other quirks. You can trick ADE into thinking FSX is installed by just creating a couple of registry entries for FSX SDK and Sim. I remembered after commenting on another thread that it was most likely what my issue was.ĪDE requires the FSX SDK for FSX creation utilization. Thanks, just want to go fly my brains out. I even tried running the sp2 inside FSX main folder.
Downloaded several times but will begin but then rolls back installation and says try again basically. Initially I missed where others spoke about FS9 reg keys being removed during FSX sdk setup, and asumed this did not affect me. Im reinstalling FSX Deluxe after my new Dell Computer hard drive failed and I cant remember having this problem when I first loaded on my new system. You can add the reg keys manually for FS9 SDK (not recommended) or just reinstall the FS9 SDK. I had to reinstall the FS9 SDK (possibly the sim too) as the registry keys were removed during the FSX SDK installation.
However, I was able to find the Service Pack 2 download page and I am downloading it right now. A Google search that links to the Microsoft page shows a not found message. I still don't get that.Īre the SP1 and SP2 updates the same for both Normal and Deluxe?ġ, After years of running the different versions, I believe Deluxe is the most stable and offers the lesser of potential problems with SimConnect. I am re installing FSX in my computer and found out that the Service Pack 1 installer is nowhere to be found in the Microsoft Downloads page.
Just need to know the differences.Īnd, understand why a scenery package that says it needs Acceleration wouldn't necessarily work in Deluxe.
